HOYA UX UV obtained HMC-WR coating with water-repellent features providing finger print and smudges resistance. HMC-WR coating secures water drop contact angle over 100 degrees, that is considered to be high-grade performance in terms of price-performance point of view.

Newly incorporated 10-layer (both sides) HMC-WR coating is based on HOYA’S popular HMC – Hoya Multi anti-reflection Coating. Being totally redesigned and powered with two additional WR coating layers for each side we succeeded in improving HMC coating performance even better than the previous UMC UV (C). HOYA UX UV incorporates slim aluminum-made profile frame to avoid vignetting when attached to wide or super-wide angle lenses.
