Formatt Hitech 100 x 100mm Firecrest IRND Joel Tjintjelaar ND Filter Kit #2

Formatt Hitech 100 x 100mm Firecrest IRND Joel Tjintjelaar ND Filter Kit #2

  • $ 76330

  • Solid Neutral Density Filters The included 100 x 100mm Firecrest IRND 3.0, 3.9, and 4.8 filters are solid neutral density filters providing 10, 13, and 16 stop reductions in exposure, respectively. The consistent density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or longer shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
  • Firecrest IRND The IRND design of these filters have been optimized for use with digital sensors and promote nearly flat attenuation of visible, UV, & infrared light. Due to imaging sensors greater susceptibility to infrared light, compared to traditional film, color casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times. These filters provide a high level of neutrality across all three spectrums in order to eliminate color casts & ensure cleaner, truer blacks.
  • Applied to the outside of the Schott Superwite glass construction is a 15-layer Firecrest multi-coating, which helps to minimize reflections and flare in order maintain truer colors and contrast. The multi-coating is also scratch-resistant and hydrophobic to benefit the overall durability of the filters. Additionally, these filters are 0.08" / 2mm-thick, making them compatible with the included Formatt-Hitech 100mm Aluminum Filter Holder.
  • Aluminum Filter Holder and Adapter Ring The filter holder is compatible with all 3.9" / 100mm-wide rectangular filters and is capable of rotating a full 360 to better suit the use of graduated neutral density filters and other filter types that are enhanced by varying positioning. Also included are two adapter rings that attach the holder to lenses featuring front filter thread diameters of 77mm or 82mm.
  • Additional Kit Components An exposure chart is included to benefit the use of these filters. Since the filters require a notable amount of additional exposure in order to produce well-exposed results, this chart helps with understanding the necessary calculations to exposure times. Additionally, an exclusive booklet of Joel Tjintjelaar's work is also included for inspiration and a closer look at how he utilizes this system of filters for his own photography.

Formatt Hitech 100x100mm Firecrest IRND Joel Tjintjelaar Long Exposure Neutral Density Filter Kit #2

Designed for photographers looking to lengthen exposure times, theFormatt-Hitech 100 x 100mm Firecrest IRND Joel Tjintjelaar Long Exposure Filter Kit #2is a versatile kit containing 10-stop, 13-stop, and 16-stop solid neutral density filters, as well as the Aluminum 100mm filter holder and two adapter rings for attaching to lenses with filter thread diameters of 77mm or 82mm.
